Pefki is a quiet, picturesque fishing village in the winter and turns into one of the most popular and cosmopolitan places of North Evia for tourists in the summer. Its name comes from the plentiful pine trees that line the big beach at the seafront («pefko» is the Greek name for «pine» tree).
Pefki is surrounded by hills full of pine trees dominating the scenery and gently flows out at the blue sea, creating an admirable combination of green and blue, that rests the eye and awake the senses especially during the idyllic sunsets at the sea of Evoikos on which the whole town overlooks.
The 1,5 km long seaside pedestrian road gives adults the chance to enjoy their stroll by the cool sea and young children the opportunity to play and ride their bikes.
